A neurotrophic reference peptide for the labs mapping BDNF and NGF.
Semax is a synthetic heptapeptide analog of a fragment of adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH 4-10), stabilized by a C-terminal Pro-Gly-Pro extension. In cultured neurons and glial models it is used to study BDNF and NGF expression, HPA-axis-related transcript changes, and neurotrophic signaling downstream of melanocortin receptors. Presented lyophilized for reconstitution. Research use only.
