The thymosin β-4 fragment behind the most-cited migration assays.
TB-500 is a synthetic fragment corresponding to the actin-binding region of thymosin β-4, a 43-amino-acid regulator of G-actin sequestration. In cultured endothelial and fibroblast models it is used to study cell migration (scratch/wound assays), tube-formation, and cytoskeletal-remodeling endpoints downstream of the actin-thymosin axis. Supplied as a sterile lyophilized powder for reconstitution in bacteriostatic water. For laboratory research use only — not for human or veterinary use.
