The long-R3 IGF-1 analog with the half-life to survive a real culture experiment.
IGF-1 LR3 is an 83-amino-acid analog of insulin-like growth factor-1 featuring an N-terminal 13-amino-acid extension and an Arg³ substitution. These modifications markedly reduce affinity for IGF-binding proteins while preserving IGF-1 receptor engagement, extending its effective half-life in cell-culture media. Researchers use it in cultured myoblast, hepatocyte, and cancer-cell models to interrogate IGF-1R activation and downstream PI3K / Akt / mTOR signaling. Supplied as a sterile lyophilized powder (100 mcg / 0.1 mg) for reconstitution in bacteriostatic water. For laboratory research use only.
