KPV — molecular reference
KPV is the C-terminal tripeptide of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH), retaining much of the parent hormone's anti-inflammatory activity in a compact three-residue scaffold. Research groups use it in cultured macrophages, keratinocytes, and intestinal-epithelial models to study NF-κB signaling, cytokine expression (TNF-α, IL-6, IL-8), and barrier-function endpoints.
